Folding vertical louvered shutters on Freshwater House [204]

Freshwater House facade consists of an outer layer of folding-sliding shutters of vertical louvers and an inner layer of sliding glasses that delimit the interior and exterior. Between the two layers, a gallery is walking around the building perimeter.

Vertical louvers of the outer leaf filter daylight, but cannot get the blackout, nor fully protect against perpendicular sunrays, as harmful at lower latitudes of Austrian situation.

The horizontal and vertical sections show the movements and positions of these vertical blinds.
