Vertical pivoting planters [051]
In the USA pavilion in Milan Expo 2015, architects used an ingenious solution, especially in a temporary building. The solar protection is formed by huge panels pivoting over a vertical axis. Each frame has a substructure that allows the setting of three vertical slats. Actually three prismatic shaped planters. The pots, probably grown in a horizontal position, are mounted upright forming barely separated strips. From the outside it is a plant wall scratched by a vertical drawing. From the inside it is a solar protection that can be accommodated to every situation by the rotation of the large frames with its planters.
