Useless grilles and effective curtains [496]
This case arises with the rehabilitation of an out-dated office building into a hotel. We find a series of setbacks with which the façade tries to create dynamism and movement. The protection consists of some exterior grilles and interior filters: a translucent shade and an opaque curtain as Foscurit.
The outer bars are moved horizontally on the façade, giving it a very dynamic image, thanks to the slight set forward of the guides.
The outer bars are virtually useless as filters, especially in its southeast orientation. Horizontal slats, and perhaps pivoting, would have been very useful. However the two inner textile protections are highly effective, as seen in the images.
