Deployé as homogenizer element of a complex volume [590]
In this medical centre of a small town, resultant of the rehabilitation of a single house, the architects used the deployé as the fundamental compositional element of the façades. The mesh serves both for solar protection and wrapping of some facades and for shading some paths. But it also works as a homogenizer element of the complex volume.
In this case, the solar protection role of the deployé is very doubtful due to the large size of the perforations and the diversity of positions. But the material is well suited to the evocative imagery of the projects by Josep Mias.
