Gaudí 1. A porch on \"Casa Vicens\" [321]

Gaudí 1. – An intermediate space on Casa Vicens (approx 1884). The porch on the garden is enclosed by large pivoting lattices, rotating on a horizontal axis located two-third proportion of its height to facilitate its handling. Inside we can notice the banks forming the railing and looking towards the centre of the porch. When closed, the perforations of the lattice may project changing and curious drawings on walls and ceilings of the intermediate space. When open, the porch would open to the garden and the protection provided by the horizontal planes of the lattice would shade all the interior space and part of the surrounding. Unfortunately nothing of this construction remains.
