An operable ceiling for a sports hall [556]

In this sports hall built in the 90's we were especially concerned that the building could be suitable for diverse uses. We thought only this way its construction could be amortized. To get that multi functionality we placed division curtains that enclose and separate the grandstands and divide the pitch.

But the most important is the ceiling, where we placed groups of motorized slats that could be closed at will. This way, the pavilion could have abundant light from above through a large skylight, the only appropriate for sport, but can also completely darken for theatre plays, films or other similar functions.
