Lattice and filter in a restoration in Madrid [434]

The restoration of this palace in Madrid undertook the treatment of the patio with a laudable criterion unitary treatment. That required solution of enclosure that would serve both as solar protection filter when covering spaces of the palace and aspect of surrounding walls.

The solution adopted is a lattice of horizontal Ipe-wood slats that, when covering the openings, is mounted on a vertical folding frame: pivoting and folding up on two horizontal axes. The solution is interesting both for the unified treatment of the whole and for his way of folding, where totally open solar protections continue protecting against high solar radiation and diffuse radiation.
