Horizontal pivoting louvers in Hotel NH Constanza [270]
Slats are interesting solutions to the extent that provide an effective external solar protection, with low maintenance. The main disadvantage of the fixed solution is the blocking of natural light and the outside views.
In this case in NH Constanza Hotel, large pivoting slats are used, which fit together solar protection and outside views. They are built with steel structure and covered with a thin piece of travertine stone.
By using the same material of the facade and its division, this solution achieves continuity of the façade and disappearance of gaps when closed.
