Clarté in Geneva [041]

The spectacular glazed facade of the Clarté building, with duplex apartments, is protected by huge double height awnings hung from the edge of the terrace upstairs. Against the joinery of the window, there are roller wooden-louver blinds.

The awnings move in wires as guides that separate them from the façade, forming a chamber on the terrace of the same apartment.

Actually the original project had only a blind, single and double height, attached to the facades. The double height blind might be difficult to handle. A year later came the big awning that can be seen in contemporary photos.
